Melissa Brown was born in Pittsburgh, PA while her Navy dad was attending sub school. Afterwards she enjoyed moving all over the country as part of a military family. Melissa graduated from college and soon after met her husband, Preston, while on an internship at DuPont in Wilmington, Delaware. Melissa spent eleven years as a computer programmer for Barclaycard and welcomed four sons during that time, all the while following her husband from Delaware to Texas and eventually here to North Carolina for his education and career. Soon after, Melissa retired to be a full-time mom. Preston and Melissa have now been in the area for over ten years and started a small real estate investment company called Blue Hen Homebuyers. Along the way, she welcomed one more son and finally a daughter to the family. 

With her family now complete, Melissa was ready to re-enter the workforce—this time as a real estate agent. Melissa understands that careers change, families grow, and home is where your heart is.
