Candy Thompson is originally from Wilmington, NC, and moved to Jacksonville in 1990. She attended CCCC for Dental Assisting and stayed in the dental field for 30 years before retiring in 2021. During 2020, she obtained her Real Estate license and started at Century 21 Champion Real Estate part-time, and in May 2021, she went full-time. In 2021 she received the Rookie of the Year from the Jacksonville Board of Realtors and also for Century21 Champion Real Estate.
Candy has a passion for volunteering and fundraising and has been involved and has served on the Board of Directors for the Onslow Women’s Center for the last 11 years and helped establish the Dancing Stars of Onslow County. She was presented with a Golden Rule Lightkeeper’s Award in 2020 and Governors Award in 2021 for recognition of her volunteerism in Onslow County. In November 2022 she received the Humanitarian Award from the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of North Carolina.
Candy is married to Marty Thompson and they have a daughter, Ally who attends CCCC.
